What the Heck is Desire mapping?
Some of you may have received a voucher for $100 off a Desire Map Level One session with Anita Gagnon and you are probably wondering, what the heck is Desire Mapping?
You know when you take those courses for work or school that teach you all about self discovery, personality traits, coping mechanisms and general self improvement? Desire Mapping is similar, except that Desire Mapping gives you the tools and deeper self discovery you need to continue living a fulfilling life, rather than upping your motivation and then fizzling out after several weeks back in the daily grind. Desire Mapping teaches you how to make empowered choices that take your body, mind, and spirit into consideration.
Desire Mapping is all about recreating your life with pure and powerful intention. What goes into your cupboards and closets, what goes into your body, the people you spend time with, the gifts you give, the thoughts you focus on. Clutter is a choice. Anger is a choice. Resentment is a choice. But so are spaciousness, flexibility, laughter, compassion, tenderness, and resilience. Simplicity is at the heart of The Desire Map. When you declutter and rid your life of things that doesn’t matter, you can clearly identify what does.
In this workshop, inspired by the best seller The Desire Map by Danielle LaPorte, we (I will be attending as well!!) will be going through a soul-heart-body experience that helps us feel good. Every day. Because knowing how you want to feel is one of the most important forms of clarity you can have. When inner clarity meets outer action, you’ll feel the way you want to feel more often than not. Decisions will be easier to make. You’ll know when to say “No, thank-you” and “Heck, yes!” You’ll be more optimistic, more openhearted. Your life will ease up on the grinding and and fill up with more…ease.
When you are connected to your core desired feelings instead of external triggers, you don’t have to prove your worth, prove your love, prove your work, or prove one more thing to one more person.
This is a 2 day workshop that will begin on on Friday, September 14th from 5:30PM - 8:30PM and then continue on Saturday, September 15th from 10AM until 4:30PM. Coffee/tea and desserts will be provided on Friday and lunch will be provided on Saturday. This workshop will include some meditation and aromatherapy as well; Anita is an aromatherapist as well, and has prepared a special blend to take home to reconnect with the workshop experience any time after we have completed this work.
Some important things to keep in mind. This workshop is going to guide us deep into our selves through conversation and journalling. Please bring a journal that you are excited about, please wear clothes that you are comfortable in. Please above all else, bring your heart open and ready for something magical to happen.
