Canada Day Around the Fraser Valley

Where has the year gone? We are officially halfway through 2019,  school’s out for Summer and tomorrow is Canada day!

If you aren’t sure what to do but would like to make some last minute plans we have compiled a list of some of the FREE activities happening around the Fraser Valley!


Surrey Canada Day

When: Monday, July 1, 2019 at 10 AM – 11 PM

Where: Cloverdale Millennium Amphitheater,17728 64 Ave, Surrey, British Columbia

Details: Over 100,000 people celebrate Canada's birthday in Surrey. This festival features outstanding headliner Our Lady Peace and support from Bif Naked, amusement rides, food trucks, Rodeo Zone and plenty of interactive activities for all ages. Be sure to stay all night and experience the Fireworks Finale.


Canada Day

When: Monday, July 1, 2019 at 10 AM – 5 PM

Where: Fort Langley National Historic Site,  23433 Mavis Avenue, Fort Langley, BC

Details: Celebrate Canada’s birthday at the site where British Columbia was born. Enjoy multicultural music, cake and ceremony at noon.

Fort Langley’s celebration also takes place at neighbouring museums: Langley Centennial Museum and the BC Farm Machinery and Agricultural Museum – be sure to visit us all for a fun-filled day. Free entry for all visitors on Canada Day!


Coquitlam Celebrates Canada Day

When: Monday, July 1, 2019 at 12 PM – 10:30 PM

Where: Town Centre Park, 1299 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam, BC

Details: Coquitlam's Canada Day celebration has grown to the largest event in the Tri-City area. With a wide range of diverse live entertainment, fireworks, delicious food and fun activities, this free community festival has been named one of the top-20 festivals in Metro Vancouver by Business in Vancouver.   


Canada Day

When: Monday, July 1, 2019 at 12 PM - 4:45 PM

Where: Memorial Peace Park,  22407 Dewdney Trunk Rd, Maple Ridge, BC

Details: It’s time to party and celebrate Canada’s Birthday! Memorial Peace Park will be filled with diverse entertainment, games, activities, and tasty food from different cultures.
Catch headliners The Matinee, Odds and Taylor James rocking on the Main Stage and some very talented local performers and a multicultural fashion show on the Community Star Stage. The Family Stage will focus on entertainment for the young – or just the young at heart! The celebration includes the Farmers Market, an artisan market, a water spray and play area, food trucks, pony rides, roving entertainers, games, a community BBQ and more. There’s something for everyone to enjoy. As the day wraps up it will be all eyes to the sky to watch the flyover finale and to sing Happy Birthday.

Canada Day at Abbotsford Exhibition Park

When: Monday, July 1, 11AM – 10PM

Where: Parade on South Fraser Way, Event at Abbotsford Exhibition Park 32470 Haida Drive, Abbotsford, BC

Details: Abbotsford celebrates Canada’s 152nd birthday with its annual parade and festivities at Abbotsford Exhibition Park and Rotary Stadium on Sunday, July 1. Finish off the day with a fireworks celebration starting at 10pm at Abbotsford Exhibition Park.

The main City of Abbotsford parade takes place at 11 a.m. along South Fraser Way, starting from Ware Street and ending in the area of Trethewey and Maclure.

Enjoy live entertainment, a food truck festival, community displays, hayrides & mini golf. There are also pony rides, interactive play zones, and the Abbotsford Arts Council Artisan Market.


Canada Day

When: Monday, July 1, 2019 at 11 AM – 10 PM

Where: Townsend Park, 45130 Wolfe Road, Chilliwack BC

Event Details: On Monday, July 1st, Join thousands of citizens from the City of Chilliwack to celebrate Canada, Our Province, and Our City. Celebrating Canada’s 152nd Birthday, we have an amazing entertainment lineup on stage, as well as dozens of community groups, vendors, food trucks and more.

Where: Tourism Harrison, 499 Hot Springs Road, Harrison Hot Springs, BC

Details: Canada Day in the Village of Harrison Hot Springs is truly special with that small Village feel. With great events planned and the day ending with Fireworks!
